The Folks over at Midtown Cakes have just laced good with evil. Enough frosting to make 100 second graders smile, yet enough Dark Side power to make their guts churn on the same day. The Death Star cake has it all.

I made my daughter a Death Star cake a couple b’days ago. I went with a hemispherical design — spherical cakes don’t work unless the baker cheats by making the lower half out of Rice Crispie treats. I went with a blue-grey colored vanilla cake for the interior. The outer frosting was done by painting different shades of blue-grey tinted vanilla frosting and an aerosol black icing can for linework.
