Harrison Ford appeared on Conan last night in a surreal interview that left many wondering just how many trips to the bar the two made before sitting down, but towards the end the talk went to the possibility of Indiana Jones 5, and once again he reiterated that Lucas was working on a script and he conversation then went into hilarity when Ford said making Indy 5 would be “More than fun” while making “money” motions with his hands. Right now there’s no word as to when Indy 5 may hit, but you can check out Indy himself lushing it up in the video below:

Oh god. The last one ruined the Indy Franchise for me. Indy was soooo good and had a theme. But the ending to the last one was wtf?

Nothing sadder than an old man, stoned out of his mind, in public. Maybe Ford should look into a Cheech and Chong reunion movie- he could be Chong’s dad. 70 year old ‘action star’- yeah…everybody wants grandpa toys. Look kids- Indy comes with a bong and a souped-up hoverround chair!

I mean this in hte worst possible sense, but you are fucking idiots! It shows that once again, people who decalre their love of Conan NVER watched the show before he got canceled. Also weird that a site called “fanboys” wouldn’t know a celebrity.
If you DID ever watch Conan, or knew about Harrison Ford, you would know that this had NOTHING to do with him drinking.. This is how he ALWAYS acts on Conan, and also on other talk shows. Because he HATES doing interviews. He refused to do them in the 80s and early 90s, and he had the star power to get away with it. But as his star power faded, he no longer can refuse to get the promotional clause put into his contract. So when he is forced to do promotions, he acts like this EVERY time.
Of course, you had no idea. Because you are not fanboys of either Ford or Conan.

@Lakawak – you claim that this had NOTHING to do with Ford drinking. If this is the way Ford always acts in interviews then Ford always get drunk for interviews. Ergo, it has everything to do with him drinking.

the man may be 70 and the man may be drunk or stoned but so what… the truth of the matter is you people seem to be jealous of the fact he had a good life and hes still a star… get over it.

Reading the comments I felt as if maybe it wasn’t the same video I saw. Harrison may have been drunk but it only made him that more
funnier, entertaining, certainly didn’t seem to be a sad character at all. This was a great clip.

Haha he acts AT LEAST high as hell for sure.
But the way he plays with his hands and keeps rubbing the chair leans me towards rollin….

I noticed something weird, but he may not be drunk/high. Funny either way. Funnier if he would say “I’m high as hell” and laugh about it.

Fords been known as a pothead for years. Bad enough to be 70- when things start happening due to aging, but to think he is piloting planes and helicopters in this condition is scary. I just think denying that age is a factor is ridiculous. Anyone notice that the last Indy film had posters with his image from YEARS ago? Not as he is now. If you have to market a 20 year old image its more than misleading. He has to sell his product by doing interviews, but he’s admitted that he acts just to make money for what he really likes to do. Age + booze/drugs has caught up with him.

Still to this day, I don’t see how people find this guy (Conan) funny.

I guess nobody has ever seen Harrison Ford in an interview before? He has always been terrible on talk-show interviews. He’s always very slow to answer, very soft-spoken and has to be prodded to answer. Add to that his current age and I’d doubt it was drinking that’s the problem.

hahahahahaha!!! I love it when he’s on, most hosts just don’t know what to do with him…

He’s not drunk – every interview he has ever done is like this. I have some of his interviews on tape from as far back as the early 1980s (Witness, etc.) and he always has the dry, witty comebacks and that blank take he does in response to a host’s dumb questions. Yep, there are rumors he was a pothead and even a cokehead back in the ’80s, but there’s been no evidence of that since. He sounds perfectly lucid and funny in this interview, just as he did on Letterman a few days earlier.

Harrison Ford, still a great interview. As Conan said, “…probably the most honest interview he had done.”

Having had a twenty minute conversation with him several years ago, I can confidently say this is not his normal demeanor. He does have a reputation for becoming intoxicated frequently, but when he is not he is quick, fluent and engaging. He is definitely intoxicated in this interview. I am surprised his handlers allowed this, but I guess he’s the boss. He shouldn’t take the (rubs hands) money for granted. He needs to clean up his act. He does do a lot for the community, but he is also a role model and needs to consider that…for the kids at the school with the bouncing castle as well as for young men who are watching him and sometimes idolizing him.

For God sake! I started to read the comments before I saw the video, I expected some inappropriate, clown looking behavior, Is this what is freaking you guys?? how silly, boring, rigid, uptight and repress you must be, to pile such ridiculous comments about a nice guy like him, people please get laid, enjoy life, smile and laugh, you up to a heart attack.

Why do you people care so much? Did he ruin your fat life watching crappy programs about figures you idolize and consider greater then yourself??
You americans are a sad lot. You idolize athletes, movies stars, talk show hosts, politicians, and other morons who make their careers off being public personalities.
When are you all going to wake up?? Like seriously.
Harrison can be as drunk as he wants to be. He probably has to be drunk around an arrogant posh like Conan.
