Each year before we celebrate the best films of the year at the Oscars, we also take some time to pay tribute to those films that just don’t live up to their potential. Ok…let’s just say it. They suck. Years ago, I came to the conclusion that that you must see the bad stuff to know just how good the good stuff really is. This theory has served me well over the years. I have learned to appreciate many films much more, especially after seeing Ultraviolet (if you’ve seen it, you understand). Here are this year’s best of the worst:
M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender was named Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay and Worst Supporting Actor for Jackson Rathbone. It also took home the award in a new category, Worst Eye-Gouging Mis-Use of 3D.
