In a time when digital comics are starting to take off like MP3 downloads did long ago, it’s more important than ever to support your local comic shop. IGN has put together a map and group on Flickr where you can post a picture and location of your local shop. If you still go to a local comic shop, take a few minutes to mark it on that map.

Even with Marvel’s Digital Comic subscription service, and the iTunes-style services DC Comics and others are using on the iOS devices; there’s nothing like a local comic shop to pick up physical books and just hang out to make fun of Rob Liefeld. Even if you buy digital comics (or pirate them by downloading scans), go to a local shop and set up a saver for a few of your favorite books.
