We’re not sure where this piece of artwork originated, but it’s pretty cool. This week marks the 25th Anniversary of the Legend of Zelda, and some Zelda fan did a huge banner combining the last quarter-century of Zelda games into one huge piece of artwork. Nintendo should allow this guy to produce it as a giant poster, as that would look pretty cool on a wall or door to a game room.
Edit: Thanks for coming through Fanboys, artist page can be seen here.

Kotaku: “Japanese artist ag+ has commemorated the 25th anniversary of the release of the original Legend of Zelda in the best possible way: with one of the most amazing pieces of fan art you will ever see.”

As noted by Kotaku, the artist is Ag+ from the Japanese art site Pixiv:

Regrettably, there doesn’t seem to be any way to purchase a print from the artist.

why isnt there a zelda mmorpg or a zelda rts?

given the correct thought, a zelda MMO would be possible. The thing is, players would have to play as a different race, i.e. Goron, Zora, Hylian, Shiekah, etc. instead of playing as link.

Ok, I got the original piece from his profile and signed it for him, since Im making the link even more public, dont want anyone else stealing his thunder. Its also signed electronically. The file is a whole 15mb, so it might take some people a little while to download. The file is actually 1200×6566, not the size displayed. http://www.mediafire.com/?oevxmjxu2jxiljg

This an amazing piece of artwork. These games are so memorable and such an important gaming milestone. I’m excited to have grown up with them and have seen them develop, even into their now 3D and amazing graphics world.
