We all know living on a planet with “two suns and no women” would totally suck. But the fanboy in us all would love to see that Binary Sunset that is so iconic, to get to have that dramatic moment Luke had in A New Hope.
According to the U.K.’s mail online, Earth may just have a second sun. The star Betelgeuse is scheduled to erupt into a supernova in the very near future (potentially this year).
Maybe it’s yet another thing that’s going to kill us in 2012. Or maybe it’ll just look cool. Either way, get your bath robe on and strike a Captain Morgan pose when the star explodes, and that’ll be one more thing off your nerd bucket list.

Darsh…victim? This is a BLOG. If it weren’t for tabloid reporting, this site wouldn’t exist. Compared to blogs, the National Enquirer is Encyclopedia Britannica.
