Last week marked The Rocketeer’s 20th Anniversary. While Disney celebrated it by hosting a special screening with cast and crew at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood, fans are still clamoring for a sequel. If we can’t get a sequel, how about an animated series? French animator John Banana shows just how awesome such a thing could be.
This 1:45 animated clip has the perfect look for a CG-animated Rocketeer series, and is such a tease we hope Disney is paying attention and hires this guy. We’re getting a Tron series, why not The Rocketeer?

Not the style or approach I would have gone for (I believe it would look great given some art Deco shape) but still a fantastic little animation.
