While the full details on what DC is doing to Superman won’t be revealed until this weekend, some interesting images have leaked out showing the Super-family in the upcoming DC reboot. In addition to a Superboy and Supergirl image, comes this one of Superman in a familiar, yet different, costume.
It’s known that elements of the Superman costume from Action Comics #1 fall under DC’s on-going legal problems with the heirs, so it’s has been assumed that at least Superman’s red briefs will disappear. The official Justice League #1 image done by Jim Lee does show Superman without red briefs, so this image backs it up. But what about the armored look to the suit? We’ll have to wait a few more days to find out the big changes that are planned for Superman.

Perhaps in the new U, he got sick of it being torn to shreds whenever he flies through a building, or runs fast enough for the air to friction it to little tiny bits, so it’s now made of replaceable kevlar pieces, so if one bit gets ruined, he doesn’t need a whole new outifit.
