If you’re a fan of SOE’s massively multiplayer first-person shooter PlanetSide, you won’t have to wait long to see the sequel. Sony has launched a countdown timer on PlanetSide2.com that is due to reach zero on July 7th. That just happens to be the start of SOE’s annual Fan Faire in Las Vegas, so it’s safe to assume that PlanetSide 2 is being unveiled there this weekend.
Will all three factions return? What about the Mechs that some players love and others hated? Hopefully we’ll hear answers to those questions and a lot more this weekend.

Being somewhat obsessed with the game, I do believe it’s been confirmed that all three factions will be returning ^__^ In fact there was a screenshot released of the revamped TR helmet (And how sexy it looks!)
