If you were worried that, for some reason, The Walking Dead wouldn’t continue past this latest season; you can rest easy. After the first two episodes of Season Two shattered basic cable ratings records, AMC has officially renewed the show for a third season.
What they didn’t reveal was the number of episodes, although it’ll likely match Season Two’s thirteen. A start date wasn’t revealed either, but you could probably expect it next October probably around the same weekend that Season Two started this year. The start of each season will become a Halloween tradition.
The rumors of budget cuts to the show haven’t really been confirmed yet, but hopefully with a third season on the way and the show raking in ad money from all those ratings; AMC will keep pumping money into it.
