Skywalker Ranch is a place many fanboys dream of visiting, and believe me when I tell you; it’s pretty awesome. No, there’s not a prop room like in the movie Fanboys, but for a Star Wars fan the place is almost a religious mecca. It’s hard not to get a little giddy when a guard with an X-Wing fighter patch on his shoulder clears you for entry at the main gate.

Now Lucas is building a sequel to Skywalker Ranch, and this one is exclusively for filmmakers. This is actually something that’s been hinted at for many years after he moved ILM, Lucasfilm, and Lucasarts to the Presidio in San Francisco. Grady Ranch will include a large building with plenty of space for film stages and production facilities, as well as kitchens and housing for the filmmakers as they work on their projects at the new Ranch.

And like Skywalker Ranch before it, don’t hope to visit it unless you get very very lucky.
