One of the most legendary stories in UFO lore is that President Eisenhower met with alien representatives in 1954 while vacationing in Palm Springs. The story goes that Eisenhower was given word of the meeting’s availability and quickly left a party when a cover story of a tooth ache was created. Apparently his dentist has no record of him having work done that night, and the story goes that he was whisked off to an airfield to meet with a couple Nordics. The Huffington Post has a story up from a former Government Consultant:

“To the best of my memory, this brief was pervaded with a sense of hope, and it informed President Eisenhower of the continued presence of extraterrestrial beings here in the United States of America,” McElroy said on the video.

“The tone of the brief indicated to me that there was no need for concern, since these visitors were in no way causing any harm or had any intentions whatsoever of causing any disruption then or in the future,” he explained.

McElroy goes on to say that, although he couldn’t verify times or places where any meetings might have taken place between Eisenhower and “off-world astronauts,” he believed that there were such meetings.

What his side of the tale doesn’t discuss is the darker half of the story. With this taking place during the Cold War, Eisenhower asked the Nordics for help with weapons and technology. As they were very benevolent, had some sort of “Prime Directive”, and didn’t trust humans to not kill themselves with advanced weapons; they declined him.

Not long after that, Eisenhower met with some Greys who did offer technological advancements in exchange for the go-ahead to abduct a certain number of people every year for experimentation. The deal was made, but it wasn’t long until the Government learned that far more people were being abducted than what was originally bargained for and that the Grey’s intentions were far more sinister than they thought. That eventually lead to the “Dulce War” in New Mexico and the policy of covering up everything that has to do with the alien presence on Earth.
