Last year, Drew McWeeny at HitFix received word from a trusted source that Liam Neeson was filming scenes for The Dark Knight rises. People laughed and refused to believe that Nolan would jump the shark by bringing him back for a third movie. In the time that past since that initial report there has been no official confirmation that Liam Neeson is in the movie… until now.

Comic Book Movie read the official production notes from Warner Bros. for Wrath of the Titans and the studio confirms that Liam Neeson appears in the third Batman movie:

“Neeson next appears in Peter Berg’s actioner “Battleship,” and he also will be seen in Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated action thriller “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Speculation says that Ra’s will only appear in flashbacks. But if you’re any sort of Batman fan, you’d know that he’s immortal and uses the Lazarus Pits to live forever. Spy pics from the filming of the movie spotted things that looked very much like the pits from the comic, so it’s a possibility Nolan may be moving into a more mystical realm than the previous two movies did.
