So Brannon Braga’s Terra Nova Failed (Told You So)

Yesterday Fox mercifully cancelled Terra Nova, which we were expecting from the first couple episodes and the fact that it was another Brannon Braga series. We got some flack for being harsh on a humans vs. Dinosaurs show that was heavy on the humans and light on the dinos, but when you advertise a series that way; people are expecting to see Dinosaurs in the Dinosaur TV series.

It also doesn’t help that Brannon Braga can’t write himself out of a cardboard box. The guy’s been a joke since Star Trek: The Next Generation, and then doomed himself forever for playing a hand in killing off televised Star Trek when he and Rick Berman decided to end Enterprise right when Manny Coto was turning it into a really good Trek series in its fourth season.

Hopefully after the very expensive Terra Nova flop, Braga won’t get a chance to crap on our television screens again. But with the way deals with the devil and Hollywood works, he’ll likely be at Comic Con hyping up some other crappy show that won’t last more than 13 episodes.
