Ever since he sold Wildstorm in 1998, Jim Lee has been with DC Comics but long time comic readers remember his star-making work with Marvel. Perhaps his most popular run of all time prior to his DC stuff was the amazing launch of X-Men in 1991 and that classic gatefold cover of the whole team.

Jeremy Roberts created the above image as a homage to that classic Jim Lee cover and posted it on his DeviantArt page. It’s probably the coolest piece of comic art I’ve seen in a long time and I have it set as the desktop on all of my computers.
