Just when we thought we’d only have to wait a little less than a year to see Ender’s Game, Summit delayed the movie to November 2013. No reason was given for the delay, but as it was originally going to be released in March; that’s a pretty big delay.

Could studios be getting cold feet over releasing major scifi movies in March? Despite being one of the best movies of the year, John Carter was released this March and couldn’t find an audience. While it’s true that the marketing sucked, the month has always been something of a dumping ground for movies so maybe the delay to November will help more people see the scifi classic on the big screen.
