Kickstarter is the latest fad in indie game development. After Doublefine found great success for their new adventure game using the service, other games such as Wastland II are trying to get funded the same way. Now one of the greatest franchises of the past is trying to make a comeback the same way.

Harebrain Schemes has created a Kickstarter for Shadowrun Returns. If they get to $400,000 by the end of the month, they’ll be able to make the game. Right now they are only about $100,000 away from the goal, so unless something disastrous happens, it looks like we may finally return to the fantasy/cyberpunk world. Here’s their announcement video:
