It looks like Oliver Queen will succeed where Aquaman failed in becoming a DC comics series on the CW. With Supes gone they really want a comic-book based series, and The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that Green Arrow is a lock for pickup.

Arrow will be the fourth time DC has tried to come to the CW. Aquaman had a pilot that was never aired, but is available both on the Smallville complete series box set and iTunes. The actor who played Aquaman went on to be Green Arrow in Smallville. Birds of Prey only lasted one season, but wasn’t completely horrible if you could look past them simply repainting the Batman & Robin Batgirl costume for the Barbara Gordon flashbacks. Finally, the WB was at one time working on the Graysons, which would’ve been a Batman version of the popular spoiled rich kid dramas that the network pollutes the airwaves with.
