Loki’s pride and the Chitauri army isn’t the only force defeated by The Avengers this summer. The Real American Heroes (who now work out of Brussels) have also been knocked out by Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as Paramount has moved the release date for G.I. Joe Retaliation from June 29th all the way to March 29th, 2013. They didn’t admit that a fear of The Avengers (and Spidey and the Bat) was the reason for the delay, instead they claim it’s to add 3D:

“We’re going to do a conscientious 3D job because we’ve seen how it can better box office internationally,” one of the studio execs just told me. “Jim Cameron did all of Titanic‘s 3D in post — and look how well that movie turned out.”

The only problem with moving the movie to next March is that it’ll now be going up against Ender’s Game, a movie that geeks have been waiting a lifetime to see…
