By the time you read this, James “Scotty” Doohan’s ashes will haven flown in space. TrekMovie has the news that Doohan’s ashes will be on board the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket that made a second attempt at launch early this morning around 3:44am Eastern Time and this time it was successful!

They apparently kept the ashes cargo a secret due to a previously failed launch where some ashes were lost. But all things look good for this launch, and Scotty will finally be flying in space after he passed away seven years ago. Mr. Scott, the word is given. Warp speed.
