One of the perks to working on a major game like The Old Republic are exclusive “gifts” certain members of the development team receive. For Star Wars: The Old Republic, many members of the team were given prop replicas of Master Orgus’ lightsaber, which were crafted by prop replica studio eFX. You may not recognize the name at first, but eFX has kind of picked up the mantle from Master Replicas and is producing great prop replicas like MR used to. The company was founded by Brian Eno, formerly of Master Replicas.

With many layoffs striking down members of the TOR team, they’re trying to become more powerful then they could possibly imagine by hocking their extremely limited edition Master Orgus sabers on eBay. One sold for $4,500 back in May right after the layoffs hit, and this one went for about half that.

So if you’re a prop collector with a lot of extra cash, you may want to keep an eye on eBay as more of these are likely to show up as out of work TOR developers will probably need the money.
