Despite being rumored as a candidate for Pixar’s first Marvel movie, it looks like Guardians of the Galaxy will be live action. The rumor comes from Latino Review who details some of how the movie will fit in. It’ll come after Captain America 2, and will apparently lead directly into The Avengers 2:

Nova. Expect Nova. There’s got to be a reason that Nova keeps showing up in stuff like Disney’s Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel’s AvX. He’s not a Guardian per se, but he’s the most recognizable Marvel space character to the all-important “we’re young and buy toys” demographic.

The site says that the movie will be announced at Comic Con. As Marvel is closing out Saturday in Hall H with Iron Man 3, it will happen there if it does. And revealing a previously unheard of Marvel movie franchise would be a really big way to close out the Con.
