A few months ago, leaked footage of a cancelled THQ Avengers game leaked online and was quickly pulled. Now UbiSoft has announced an Avengers game for the Wii U and Xbox Kinect and the rumor is they’re picking up from where THQ left off. And if so, consider me excited.

The leaked footage, which you can see below, looks like a Metroid Prime version of The Avengers where you can play as Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, or Cap; each with their own unique powers. One could imagine how a game like this is perfectly tooled for a motion system like Kinect or even the Wii U, so hopefully this is what we’ll be playing in the fall.
