Even though it’s been out for two months, The Avengers is still playing in theaters, and Marvel has announced that it just crossed the $600 million mark domestically. What does that mean? The grand total for the movie is now at $1,438.3 million, which puts it at third place on the all time list behind Titanic and Avatar.

If those rumors of Marvel releasing an extended Director’s Cut of the movie in theaters in late July or August, that could be the extra push the movie needs to knock out both of James Cameron’s epics. I know I’ll go see it four more times if they add another twenty minutes or so, which is what the rumored deleted footage amounts to.
