Out of respect for the people killed in Aurora, CO Friday morning, DC comics has delayed the release of Batman, Inc #3 until the end of August. The book actually shipped to retailers this week, so it’s likely copies will find their way into people’s hands or scanned to the internet within the next couple days, but DC has requested that retailers not sell the book until the 22nd.

Specifics weren’t given as to why it’s being delayed, but something that happens in the issue is apparently a bit too close to the events last Friday. Speculation is that it involves a shooting in a theater, which wouldn’t be unusual for a Batman story as Frank Miller used that as an element in The Dark Knight Returns.
