Last month we heard about the possibility of Warner Brothers bringing The Hobbit to Hall H at next week’s San Diego Comic Con, and now it’s official. As usual, Hall H will be the place to be all day Saturday, but especially later in the evening.

Warner has scheduled an epic three-hour block to show off The Man of Steel, del Toro’s Pacific Rim, and The Hobbit. There’s zero information about what they’ll be showing for The Man of Steel, but del Toro is expected to be there to show off Pacific Rim, and The Hobbit is going to be the can’t miss panel of this year’s convention…so start camping out now.

As The Hobbit is going out to theaters in a 48fps 3D version, they will probably show off footage. The panel list for the con reportedly includes Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens, Andy Serkis, Sir Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, and Richard Armitage. As Peter Jackson unfortunately missed all three Comic Cons during the years of The Lord of the Rings release, The Hobbit panel is going to be a huge deal.
