Comic book fans have something to look forward to in 2013, as Rob Liefeld has revealed that he’s done attempting to draw superheroes. The news came in reaction to Grant Morrison announcing that he won’t be writing superheroes anymore starting next year, and Liefeld made the glorious announcement via Twitter, which DigitalSpy uncovered:
“As for DC work, I’ve done my job, stopped the bleeding, revived the patient… enjoying my collaborations…” he continued.
“Lots of creator owned dreams yet to realise…”
Since he’ll only be working on creator owned stuff, the chances of having to have your eyes burned out by one of his covers sitting on your local comic new release shelf is pretty slim. This is great news for comic fans and everyone who appreciates good comic art everywhere!
