At the emotional 10th Anniversary Firefly Reunion panel today at the San Diego Comic Con, Joss Whedon dropped some news that made the Browncoats cry tears of joy. The Serenifly story will continue, in the form of a comic series just like Whedon continued Buffy with new comics. At the panel, Whedon talked about how the graphic novels he and his brother did for Dark Horse were the highest selling books Dark Horse ever had. He then said:

“We’re going to be continuing with that. Zack and I just spent some time figuring out how to some comics moving actually forward in the future and not just telling stories in the past.”
