With the Olympics starting this week in London, it’s time for the Olympic torch to make its traditional run to the opening ceremony. Naturally the UK is bringing out some of their big names to carry the torch along certain runs, and current stars such as Doctor Who himself Matt Smith had the honor. But how cool is it to see the best Captain ever, Sir Patrick Stewart, carrying the torch?
He says in the BBC interview below that people showed up fifteen deep at spots to see the torch, but I think he’s just being modest. While the torch is obviously a huge and historic thing to see, I think a lot of Trekkies were there to cheer their Captain on.
