Just about two weeks after the movie was released, we knew The Avengers would hit Blu-Ray on September 25th. Despite that knowledge being widely available online, it took Disney until just recently to officially announce the release and now they’ve released a new trailer for the Blu-Ray.

While the trailer doesn’t include any new information about the disc, Disney’s announcement did reveal some features that weren’t in the initial news. In addition to all of the extras we knew about, the 4-disc Blu-Ray 3d/Blu-Ray/DVD set will also include a digital download of the “Inspired by” album. Disney did this with the recent Muppets Blu-Ray release, and the soundtrack download was a zip file of DRM-free MP3s. Hopefully The Avengers download works the same.
