After Speed Racer bombed, the next project for the Wachowski siblings needed to wow people like The Matrix did back in 1999. Their project about a gay soldier in Iraq in love with an insurgent wouldn’t really do that, so they teamed up with the director of Run Lola Run to adapt the book Cloud Atlas into an epic.

Now a six minute trailer has been released, and it definitely looks pretty amazing. The rumor is that the current rough cut of this is about seven hours long, so how they’ll be able to trim that down into one movie would be interesting to see.
