While there was some confusion due to a commercial that stated September 8th as the start date, the BBC made the real date official today. The Seventh Series of Doctor Who will begin in both the US and the UK one week from tomorrow; on Saturday, September 1st. They celebrated the announcement by releasing an extended trailer for the first half of the series, which you can check out below.

As we all know, the Ponds will depart the series right before the Christmas special where the Doctor will meet his new companion. That departure is hinted at in the video below, and I’m sure fans of the Doctor’s adventures will Amy and Rory will be sad just to watch the trailer that speaks of the end of the story. Here it is:
