If you’ve been wondering how Marvel is going to adapt Guardians of the Galaxy to the big screen, a big hint may have leaked out. The comic was recently rebooted and based on what Marvel announced at Comic Con, the movie will definitely be pulling its team from the recent reboot. Still, the series is one of the most “out there” of any Marvel comic, but also the most science fiction and Star Wars-like. Now, Bleeding Cool has found a description for the movie that makes it sound a lot like Farscape:

About a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.

Sounds a lot like the plot of Farscape. That’s not a bad thing as Farscape is one of the greatest scifi series ever. Bleeding Cool speculates that Major Victory would be in the movie, but he’s not part of the team that Marvel named at Comic Con. It’s more likely the U.S. pilot will become the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Star Lord, as he is part of the team.
