Earlier this week, Joe Carnahan took to Twitter to announce that his version of Daredevil was dead:

“Think my idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kids. We shall see. Time is NOT on anyone’s side.”

As a result, Fox will be unable to get a Daredevil movie in production by October, and that means that the rights to the Man Without Fear will revert back to Marvel. The blind lawyer from Hell’s Kitchen is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which means Marvel can use him with any of the Avengers.
