For quite a while, Hideo Kojima has been talking about a “Project Ogre”, which would apparently use the new Fox Engine. Yesterday in Japan, Konami held a MGS 25th Anniversary conference where they announced a new MGS: Social Ops smartphone game, a MGS movie coming from the producer of the Spider-Man movies, and the long-awaited reveal of Project Ogre.
Now titled Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, it looks to be an open-world Metal Gear game. Apparently they only showed some quick teasing footage, with more obviously going to be revealed at TGS and E3, but it’s Snake in the game and not Raiden. From the art released, it looks like a post-Peace Walker Big Boss Snake as opposed to Solid Snake.
No platforms were revealed, so it’s possible it’s a next-gen game.
