Tomorrow is August 15th, and that means it will officially be 50 years to the day of Spider-Man’s first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15. Marvel isn’t letting the golden anniversary of their most famous character pass without fanfare. Spidey got another movie this summer, in the comics he’ll have a sidekick soon, and Marvel is celebrating the anniversary by putting out special anniversary variant covers. Here are the variants that you’ll likely be able to pick up in shops tomorrow, as many are putting together complete sets to celebrate the big day.

I love Skottie Young’s cover, with Venom popping out of the cake, and the one with Spidey holding Gwen’s body is just heartbreaking. As a lifelong Spidey fan, I’ll be buying every single one of these.
