There’s a new rumor out there that’s saying that the climatic battle in Iron Man 3 could feature up to forty remote-controlled Iron Man suits fighting the Mandarin. The rumor comes from Latino Review who bases it around the new suit they showed off at Comic Con. That suit is the Mark XLVII, which means there were forty suits between the suit in Avengers and the new one.

Latino Review has been hit and miss with their Marvel rumors lately. They were wrong with Extremis having anything to do with The Avengers and the villains, but they were right about Guardians of the Galaxy. Another thing supporting this rumor is that the budget of Iron Man 3 was greatly increased after the success of The Avengers, which would definitely help pay for the effects for a 40-suit Iron Man battle.
