One of the best things about Marvel’s SDCC panel this year, even though it was almost expected, was Edgar Wright’s early Ant Man effects test footage. While it was very unfinished, it did an amazing job showing off how Ant Man’s powers can be pulled off in live action, and they even did a great job on the costume. For those of you who couldn’t attend SDCC, Marvel has heard your cries.

According to Collider who is sourcing a Brazilian interview, Marvel does plan to release the test footage. Marvel claims they don’t know when it’ll be released, but they did say they are finishing the effects in the clip, which means when it is shown it’ll be even more awesome.

Our prediction? The footage will be one of the new bonus features on the Phase One Blu-Ray box set when it’s finally released in 2013.
