Can’t wait a month to own Prometheus in HD? According to iTunes, the HD 1080P digital version of Prometheus is expected to release today. This has been a common tactic for Apple and iTunes lately in an attempt to combat the stupid streaming Ultraviolet digital copy crap that studios like Sony and Warner are forcing upon people. They’ll release a digital version of a big movie up to a month before the disc version.

The iTunes HD version is said to include the deleted scenes from the Blu-Ray and one screen shot shows director’s commentary; although I’ll believe that when I hear it. It’s definitely possible though, and would be a nice bonus. If you loved the movie as much as we did, it may be hard to wait to watch it which makes the iTunes release very tempting.
