Just in time for people to start receiving their fixed discs from the Season One issues, Paramount has announced Season Two of TNG for December 4th. Unfortunately, besides promising lots of extras and the same picture and audio quality as the first season’s release; they didn’t really say much more about the set leaving details for a future announcement.

Perhaps the thing fans are most curious about is if the rumored extended cut of Measure of a Man will make it on the set. Rumors have been flying around that Paramount may be working on it, and they even reportedly requested a copy of the extended cut from the episode’s writer. Hopefully the longer cut of the episode makes it on the disc, as it’s one of the best of the entire series’ run and it’ll be interesting to see what the extra 20 minutes hold.
