There’s no question that The Hobbit will be the biggest movie this December, nothing else stands a chance to compete against it. Unlike Fellowship of the Ring eleven years ago, Peter Jackson and his Middle-Earth crew are not fanboy gods. That means that the hype for The Hobbit will be off the charts by the time December 14th rolls around, and Warner has announced the date when you can secure your tickets (officially) for the midnight showing.
Advance ticket sales will begin on Wednesday, November 7th, at 9AM PST. Some theaters have been selling midnight tickets for more than six months now, so the sad thing is that some midnight showings may already be sold out, so be sure to check with your theater before getting your hopes up. They also haven’t yet revealed what theaters will be showing the movie in 48fps 3D yet.
