Everyone wanted to see it happen after The Avengers, and now it really is…on DVD and BluRay. Marvel Animation Studios is making an CG Iron Man/Hulk team-up movie, which should hit BluRay around April. Entertainment Weekly has the details on the movie, which will have Stark and Banner facing off against Zzzax:
While the film doesn’t have Downey or Ruffalo, it will try to capture the spirit of their onscreen partnership in The Avengers. “The challenge was to pick up the banter between the two of them. Certainly, Adrian Pasdar’s performance is inspired by what Robert Downey Jr. does, and Mark laid down such an incredible path for us to be able to follow,” Loeb says.
Marvel has done animated movies in the past, such as the pretty decent adaptation of Planet Hulk, but this is the first one to actually follow the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The “Science Bros” in Avengers is something fans loved, so Marvel’s incredibly smart to give them what they want.
