In the middle of new casting rumors about who will be playing Sharon Carter in the Captain America sequel, there’s a rumor of another Avengers showing up. Deadline ran a report on the current five actresses up for the role of Sharon Carter in The Winter Soldier, and also heard that Black Widow will show up in the movie. If you’re familiar at all with Ed Brubaker’s amazing run on Cap and the story of the Winter Soldier this should be no surprise.

In the comics, Winter Soldier is Bucky after he was brainwashed by the Soviets and used as an assassin. When he wasn’t being used, they kept him in suspended animation so he didn’t age much over the years Cap was frozen in the ice. During his time as a Soviet assassin, he had a relationship with Black Widow, so including her in the movie would show that they’re trying to be faithful to Brubaker’s storyline.
