Recently, Matthew Vaughn had to bail out of the new X-Men movie; leaving fans terrified that Fox would again bring in Brett Ratner to shit all over the franchise. Thankfully that nightmare of history won’t be repeating itself, as Fox has made a deal with Bryan Singer to return to the franchise he originally brought to the big screen. Deadline confirms that Bryan Singer will direct Days of Future Past:
Bryan Singer has just closed his deal to return to the director’s chair for the X-Men franchise to direct X-Men: Days Of Future Past, the next installment of 20th Century Fox‘s superhero series. The ink is still drying on the deal, we’ve learned.
Hopefully Singer uses this opportunity to use this movie to be a true third X-Men movie and pretend that piece of shit Ratner crapped out didn’t ever happen. Or they could acknowledge it, and just retcon the whole thing with some time travel in this one.
