Just a day after Guillermo del Toro told his official fansite that he was about to start the PR for Pacific Rim, the viral marketing campaign kicked off. It began with some leaked images on various sites, including a cool Jaeger schematic at WIRED, and ended with the first glimpse anyone outside of Comic Con has had of a Kaiju. They also posted more Jaeger schematics on the film’s official Facebook page.

The Kaiju attack video they released deals with the monster attacking the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. This is the same Kaiju that featured prominently in the SDCC footage, although here it’s heavily obscured by their shaky cam video effects. The Comic Con footage showed the monster much clearer, and it’s jaw-dropping awesome. But here’s the first look at one of the many Kaiju in Pacific Rim, July is so far away….
