As I predicted on our 2012 recap podcast, it looks like ABC may produce the live action Star Wars television series. Entertainment Weekly asked ABC directly about it, and as expected they seem open to talking with Lucasfilm about the show:

“We’d love to do something with Lucasfilm, we’re not sure what yet,” Lee exclusively told EW. “We haven’t even sat down with them. We’re going to look at [the live-action series], we’re going to look at all of them, and see what’s right. We weren’t able to discuss this with them until [the acquisition] closed and it just closed. It’s definitely going to be part of the conversation.”

Another thing that’s interesting about the EW article is that they claim that Star Wars 1313 was using settings and designs form the live action series. Could the two be connected? 1313 is expected to be released on the next generation Xbox and PlayStation, which aren’t due until 2014 or 2015, which could mean that the game is timed to come out around the same time as the series…
