We’ve been hearing about the new SyFy series Defiance for a while. The new show will be linked to a MMO shooter by Trion (the RIFT people), where the actions of people in the game will affect the storyline of the series. It’s a seriously cool concept, and as the game will be multiplatform on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation; it’ll have a very large audience playing it. The show starts April 15th, and the game comes out April 30th.

SyFy has released a trailer for the series, and you know what? It looks awesome. There’s a definite Firefly vibe going on here, with the whole Western feel. The big difference is that it’s set on Earth and there’s aliens. This is definitely one to check out. Here’s the trailer:
