In Slashfilm’s report on the JJ Abrams story yesterday, they revealed something that may confirm that we’ll be seeing a female Skywalker as the main character in the movie:

Kennedy talked to other directors including Ben Affleck and also Matthew Vaughn who may have pitched to have Chloë Grace Moretz in the lead role.
