If you hit Google this morning, you may have noticed their awesome doodle on the front page. Instead of just being an animated image, it’s actually a point and click adventure game with a little alien looking for pieced of his crashed UFO. This was done because today is the 66th Anniversary of the Roswell UFO Incident.
Well, technically the crash everyone associates with Roswell happened on July 7th, but the newspaper announcing the recovered “flying disk” was dated as July 8th:
While more modern conspiracy theories, such as Project Serpo, say that there were more than one recovered crash at Roswell; the traditional thinking was that there was one with three bodies. Two that died in the crash and the other who lived for quite a while longer in US care. That theory of the survivor is one of the origins of Project Serpo.
Recommended reading for Roswell-related stuff include Whitely Strieber’s fictional account Majestic and Philip Corso’s The Day After Roswell. Strieber’s book is a fictional account based on the story, and is seriously creepy in parts, while Corso’s discusses the technology recovered from the crash.
It’s been sixty-six years since the crash, and still no disclosure. In fact all we’ve had is more denials and crazy theories trying to explain it as not a UFO crash. With so many people who were around back then dying off, hopefully we’ll ge the truth before the truth goes away…
