All of the rumors of a deal between Sony and Marvel over Spider-Man may be reaching critical mass. Next week Marvel will be at Pinewood Studios conduction reshoots on Avengers: Age of Ultron, and that’s also the same time there is rumored to be a “Spidey Summit” between them and Sony. There have been a lot of rumors about some kind of deal happening, and now the latest one says Spider-Man will appear in the third Avengers movie.
This one comes from Latino Review, who famously filmed a video in front of Marvel’s New York HQ proclaiming that Avengers 3 would be based on World War Hulk. They say that Spider-Man will be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War along an all-new Avengers team as Cap, Iron Man, and Thor will be taken out of commission before appearing in Part 2 of the movie in 2019.
Not having the “big three” in the first movie was always speculated as being a way for Marvel to skirt around expiring contacts and allow them to be used on the second part, so that’s definitely believable. As for the rest of the stuff, including plot points, Latino Review is about 50/50 when it comes to Marvel stuff so we’ll just have to wait and see.
